Dan Nkoloagu, a veteran Nigerian actor known for playing native doctors in Nollywood films, is dead.

Dan Nkoloagu Jnr., his son, broke the tragic news in a statement issued via his Facebook page on Saturday.

Although Nkoloagu’s son didn’t reveal the cause of the actor’s death, it was said that he breathed his last on Friday.

“It was a Black Friday for us yesterday as my dad left us without saying goodbye,” the bereaved son wrote.

Abubakar Yakub, national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), also confirmed the tragedy to TheCable Lifestyle.

Before his death, Nkoloagu starred in movies like ‘Okada Man’, ‘Warriors Heart’, ‘My Vision’, ‘Midwife, ‘Royal Doom’, ‘Alice My First Lady’, ‘Moment of Tears’, ’40 Days and 40 Nights’, among many others. He was 83.
