Daddy Showkey, the veteran Nigerian singer, has tackled Brymo over his recent allegations against 2Baba, his colleague in the music industry.
The ‘Ara’ singer had, in a lengthy Twitter rant on Tuesday, claimed that 2Baba “falsely” accused him of sleeping with his wife.
The songwriter also alleged that he was attacked by men loyal to the ‘African Queen’ crooner over reasons that remain unknown to him.
On Thursday, 2Baba had threatened a N1 billion lawsuit against his accuser for alleged defamation. He also demanded that Brymo recant his statement within two days.
But Brymo, who shared the court document, had insisted on his earlier claims, daring 2Baba to proceed with the suit.
Weighing into the matter in an interview with Daddy Freeze, the media personality, Showkey faulted Brymo’s handling of the purported rift with 2Baba.
The veteran singer said Brymo should have approached someone closer to 2Baba and make his anger known.
Daddy Showkey said 2Baba is already facing a lot due to his lingering marital crisis, adding that Brymo should have adopted a better approach.
“The case of Brymo and 2face, I have been watching it and I’ve been laughing and laughing… first of all, 2face and his wife were going through a lot,” he said.
“This is not the time for that type of issue unless if you (Brymo) have anything against 2face or 2face accused you of this and you have proof. You (Brymo) have people to call, at least you know people.
“This is somebody’s wife and they are going through a lot with families, crisis going on so unless they don’t want peace to be in the boy’s (2Baba’s) family.
“Anybody that is supporting what is going on does not want peace to be in 2face’s family. Some people want to take issues and get popular but you don’t play with people’s lives.
“For Brymo, if you have anything on your mind that guy accused you of what you didn’t do, you should have gone to report him to people close to him to address it.”
2Baba had been in a crisis with Annie Idibia, his wife, who called him out for spending time with a baby mama
