In February, Nedu stepped down from the podcast amid controversy surrounding allegations made on the podcast.

The controversy began when comedian DeeOne alleged on the podcast that VeryDarkMan had intimate relationships with men.

VDM responded by accusing Nedu of orchestrating the allegations and leaking private conversations between them while accusing him of sexual exploitation.

In an Instagram post, the podcast organisers unveiled a new poster featuring Daddy Freeze as the new co-host.

In an accompanying caption, the organisers declared the podcast just got “more unfiltered” with “hotter takes, deeper convos, and unapologetic honesty”.

“The Honest Bunch podcast just got more unfiltered,” the caption reads.
