Cynthia Morgan, the Nigerian dancehall artiste, and Paul Okoye, the singer, have traded words on social media.
Morgan’s disagreement with the Okoye family started with Jude Okoye, the senior brother of Paul and former manager of Psquare, in 2020.
Jude managed Cynthia some years back until they fell out.
The songstress claimed her exit from her former label affected her music identity, VEVO account, music royalties, and social media accounts.
She said Jude had claimed she did not meet her financial expectations on the monies spent on the video production of her songs.
Morgan also said she battled with depression and relocated to Benin to save the cost of treatment for an undisclosed illness that almost took her life.
While interacting with his followers on his Instagram live, Paul was asked about Morgan.
Paul, however, dissociated himself from Morgan. He also taunted the rapper over her fallout with his brother, adding that he wishes she “get well soon”.
“Cynthia Morgan is not my artiste. She was never my artiste. Na my elder brother artiste. Dem don go their separate ways. Everybody don go their own way. Na she sabi I wish her get well soon,” he said.
Infuriated by Paul’s remarks, Morgan fired back at the ‘Do Me’ hitmaker for insinuating she is sick.
She also claimed Paul refused to pay her for featuring her in a song eight years ago.
“You think you can talk @iamkingrudy you wish me get well soon, me and you who they sick? Remember you are still owing me for the feature I did for you and your girlfriend who was also your artiste in 2016? And I believe you were still married at the time? Mind yourself Paul, mind yourself,” she wrote.
