Adeyemi Temitope, a final year public administration student of Lagos State University (LASU), has been suspended for alleged cultism and rape.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, an official bulletin of the university said Temitope was being tried in a law court for the alleged crimes.

The nature of Temitope’s suspension is indefinite pending the outcome of his trial in the court, the report said.

The statement reads: “The Vice-Chancellor has approved the recommendation of the Students Disciplinary Committee that Adeyemi Temitope, with Matriculation Number 100832003, be suspended.

“Temitope, of the Department of Public Administration in the Faculty of Management Sciences, is suspended with immediate effect from the University.

“The suspension is pending the outcome of the court judgment on the case of cultism and rape against him,’’ the publication read.

Temitope has been banned from the university premises until the suspension is lifted.
