The TV star had posted a video of himself on Snapchat where he was seen showing off his tattoos and manhood.

The footage, on Wednesday, generated mixed reactions, with many accusing Cross of trying to “stay relevant”.

In a chat with TVC, Cross said he’d rather earn money and forgo fame as against the allegations of clout chasing.

“There’s nothing to say about it. It was a simple mistake. It wasn’t a big deal. I’m not really back on my phone but I use it once in a while. I didn’t know Snapchat had changed a lot of features,” the reality TV star said.

“When I noticed, I deleted it. People should understand the kind of person I am. I’m a human being; I wear my heart on my sleeves. The whole entertainment industry lifestyle is still new to me. The do’s and don’ts choke me.

“I just want to be me, live my life the way I’d always wanted it, and make enough money to provide for my family. If you ask me, I’d rather give you the fame and take the money. Money is the most important thing right now.”

On how he’s coping with the aftermath of participating in the reality show, Cross added: “Leaving the Big Brother reality show, it’s been crazy. I didn’t even know this was what I was signing up for.

“I remember, in the house, everyone kept talking about the outside world. I was like, leave that first.

“Let’s focus on what’s happening here. I didn’t know the outside world was this crazy. If I’m given the chance, I’ll return to the house. I didn’t know it was going to be this crazy. Money is good but it’s not what drives me.

“People buy expensive things and give you for the person you’ve become. It’s mind-blowing. Before BBNaija, I thought claims about fans gifting housemates things were all made up.”
