You’re probably guilty of skipping your bath one too many times because why not? It’s not like you’re going anywhere. But it shouldn’t be this way.

Various pieces of clothing impact us in different ways. Think about this; when you have your pyjamas on, your mind focuses on getting some sleep or rest. On the other hand, when you’re dressed in a suit and tie, your mind automatically assumes the mood for seriousness or an official occasion. 

This psychology is easily connected to the fact that we tend to associate various clothing as uniforms for various occasions.

Having this in mind, it is therefore important to dress the part when working from home.

Recognizing that working from home during this COVID-19 lockdown is not a vacation but a period of actual work is a good mindset to 

  • Having Your Bath is Not An Option

Seriously, if having your bath has been an option up to this point, it may be time to rethink this habit. Bathing shouldn’t be skipped when you’re working from home.

This is because bathing will not only freshen you up but will refresh your mind thereby, activating it and preparing you for the tasks ahead of you.   

  • Wear Clean Clothes

Wearing clean clothes cannot be overemphasized. And it’s not just because ‘it’s right to wear clean clothes’. Several health experts and organizations have stressed the need to maintain the utmost hygiene to curb the possibility of contracting the current widespread virus.

In addition to this, wearing clean clothes also make you mentally prepared to take on the day.

  • Dress Comfortably

Dressing up to work from home doesn’t necessarily mean you have to put on a suit and tie. You’re good to go by dressing simply in clean, comfortable, clothing.

T-shirts, comfy sweatpants, leggings, slacks, sweatshirts, loose-fitting blouses, comfy shorts, are a few examples of the right kind of clothing to wear when you work from home. 

  • Keep Your Feet Comfortable Too  

Comfortability doesn’t have to end with your clothing. Your footwear too has to be easy-to-wear and comfy.

Opt for slides, flip flops, and flat sandals. Interestingly, you may just go with a pair of comfy socks. But make sure to have your floors properly cleaned before doing so.
