The Kaduna zonal directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, a content creator, for allegedly abusing naira notes.
Sa’ad was said to have posted a video on his social media pages of himself flinging naira notes in the air and deliberately stepping on them.
The commission, in a statement on Monday, said the suspect “dared EFCC officers in Hausa language to arrest him if they could”.
The EFCC said following surveillance, operatives tracked and arrested Sa’ad in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna state.
The statement added that he was subsequently taken to the EFCC’s Kaduna office for interrogation.
The commission revealed that he will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
“…daring EFCC officers in Hausa Language to arrest in him if they can,” the statement reads in part.
