The Courtesy Foundation, a US-based non-profit organisation, is set to hold a classical concert in December.
Entitled ‘The Frankincense Concert’, the event is slated to hold at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
Headlining the event is Abiodun Koya, an opera singer who is also the convener of the concert.
“I and my team have packaged this all-inclusive premium lifestyle concert to showcase musical art performances and an interpretation of the beautiful Nigerian culture with a classical expression this yuletide season,” said Koya.
“We are looking forward to using music to create ambience that opens expressions of love, warmth and a divine connection in the most remarkable way possible.”
Abiodun also said proceeds from the event will be given back to society.
“Part of the funds from the sale of concert tickets would be invested in charity. Through The Courtesy Foundation we will provide sushi tenance for orphanages and scholarships for young girls in parts of Nigeria,” she said.
Highlights of the event will include a musical performance by The Frankincense Orchestra and Choir as well as the presentation of awards and recognition to outstanding icons.
