Chris Evans, the Hollywood actor, has been named People magazine’s sexiest man alive.
The publication, in a feature, announced the ‘Captain America’ star as its sexiest man alive for 2022.
Evans, while reacting to the recognition, said the title “feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”
“My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about,” he added.
Evans began his career with roles in television series such as ‘Opposite Sex’ in 2000.
Following his role in several teen films including ‘Not Another Teen Movie’, he gained fame for his portrayal of the Marvel character Human Torch in ‘Fantastic Four’ (2005) and ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’ (2007).
Chris Evans made further appearances in film adaptations of comic books and graphic novels with ‘TMNT’ (2007), ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ (2010), and ‘Snowpiercer’ (2013).
He gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Steve Rogers/Captain America in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ (2011) to ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ (2019).
The Hollywood actor’s work in the franchise established him as one of the world’s highest-paid actors.
In 2022 alone, Evans starred in Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’ and Netflix’s ‘Gray Man’.
He filmed three new movies, including 2023’s ‘Ghosted‘ for AppleTV+ which he is also producing.
Speaking to People about what his thoughts are on marriage and fatherhood, the actor said: “That’s absolutely something I want.”
