Chika Ike, the award-winning Nigerian actress, is expecting her first child.
The excited mother-to-be took to her Instagram page on Monday to share lovely photos from her maternity shoot.
In the pictures, the 39-year-old film star showed off her baby bump while wearing a black coloured sheer dress.
In the accompanying caption, the actress, who has been private about her current relationship, wrote, “Life lately 🤰😊❤️”.

The announcement has garnered an outpouring of love and congratulations from fans and colleagues alike.
Rita Dominic, the actress, commented, “Aww congratulations darling ❤️❤️”.
Denrele Edun, the media personality, wrote, “My absolute fave!!! Congratulations again and again! Too obvious you’re gonna be the best mum ever.”
Ike began her film career in 2005 when she played a character in the movie ‘Sweet Love’. She has since featured in hundreds of Nollywood films.
In 2014, her production company Chika Ike Production produced her first movie ‘Miss Teacher’ and her reality TV game show ‘African Diva’.
She has also received several awards and nominations for her work, including the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) ‘Best Upcoming Actress’ in 2008, and for ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ in 2009 for her performance in the movie ‘The Assassin’.
Ike was previously married to Tony Eberiri but filed for divorce in 2013 after 7 years of marriage.
