The pair unveiled the website via their individual social media handles on Monday.

In a Twitter thread, Suleiman, the Nigerian actor and co-founder of the platform, said the initiative would make “the process of filmmaking a lot easier.”

“A database platform for talent and crew to be able to showcase their work to the world and the entire industry. Today, we’re proud to announce the launch of Nollydata, Nollywood’s first ever database website,” he wrote.

“Nollydata is a one-stop website for all things Nollywood, a community for filmmakers to display their projects, talents and creativity to the world. Our mission is to create a space that makes it easier to find information on all things Nollywood.

“From your old Nigerian movies to your favourites features, we want to help filmmakers find talent and crew for their next project with ease. To say we’re proud to finally present this to the world is an understatement.”

On her part, Igbokweuche, Nollydata’s founder, disclosed that the initiative took about 10 months.
