In a recent X post, Carter shared a photo of the email sent to him by the streaming platform, citing violations of its terms of service and community guidelines as their reason.

The skit maker was also warned that repeated violations could lead to a “longer temporary suspension or permanent suspension”.

“Hello Carter Efe, Twitch is committed to keeping our community safe for everyone, and as a part of that, we require all users to ensure that anything shared on their account abides by Twitch’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines,” the email reads.

“Based on a review of your activity or content, we have issued a global suspension on your account. As a result, your access to Twitch services is temporarily restricted. Please be aware that repeated violations may lead to more serious actions on your account, including longer temporary suspensions or permanent suspension.”

The suspension comes a few days after Carter recorded a major milestone on Twitch, becoming the most-followed African streamer on the platform with over 405,000 followers.

That record-breaking surge followed a highly publicised livestream held on December 17, which featured Afrobeats superstar Davido and attracted massive global attention.

During the period, Carter also surpassed several prominent Nigerian streamers, including Shank Comics and delivered one of Twitch’s most-viewed livestreams in collaboration with Davido.
