Cameroonian journalist narrowly escapes death by car blast

A Cameroonian investigative journalist, Denis Nkweo, has narrowly escaped death in an explosion that destroyed his car .

Nkweo’s car was parked outside his house in the commercial capital of Douala yesterday when the explosion occurred.

Although  he escaped unhurt, he has appealed to the Committee that Protects Journalists (CPJ)  to urgently launch an investigation

He urged the committee to “carry out  efficient, thorough, and transparent investigation” into this attack; and prosecute the culprits.
