Burna Boy has signed a licensing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).

The publishing company announced the signing on Monday when it shared photos of Burna Boy with the team raising toasts in celebration.

“New deal alert. Proud to welcome Burna Boy to the family,” UMPG said.

Burna Boy is currently on an international tour, riding off the success of his critically-acclaimed ‘Outside’ album.

The ‘Ye’ singer joins Nigerian singers such as Mr Eazi and Tekno on the UMPG roster.

UMPG also has publishing agreements with international acts like SZA, Carly Simon, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Keith Urban, and Shawn Mendes.
