Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer, has revealed that Toni Braxton, the American R&B singer, will get a 60% dividend from his latest single ‘Last Last’.
The musician was speaking during his feature on The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.
Burna Boy said it has always been his idea to sample Braxton’s 2000 R&B hit, ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’.
He said he eventually got music producer Chopsticks to make it happen.
The ‘African Giant’ crooner also described the production of ‘Last Last’ as the “most special creative process ever” for him.
“It was actually my idea, to be honest. I just always wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopstix could do something crazy with it. I just pointed that sh*t out and he took it from there. That’s one of the most special creative processes ever,” he said.
“But she is taking 60 percent of it. I’m not complaining. Hopefully, she even comes out to one of the shows”.
