Mohammed took to her Twitter page on Thursday to share a picture of them both at the UN headquarters in New York.

She, however, did not disclose the nature of the meeting with the Afrobeats singer.

In the caption of the tweet, Mohammed described the Afrofusion star as being among the creatives who continue to “inspire young people around the world.”

“I had the opportunity to welcome my compatriot @burnaboy here at the @UN HQ. Burna continues to inspire young people around the world with his amazing talents,” the UN secretary-general wrote.

Burna Boy is in New York to headline what would be a record-setting concert at Madison Square Garden.

The concert, billed as ‘Burna Boy Presents One Night in Space’, is set for April 28.

Burna Boy started to gain fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

In 2021, the singer set a record in Nigeria after his album ‘Twice As Tall’ won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammys.

Burna Boy has established himself as a household name in the music industry with several awards and acclaimed albums.

He has also been in the news for controversial reasons. The ‘Twice As Tall’ singer recently left tongues wagging after claiming he is richer than Wizkid and Davido.
