Burna Boy, Nigerian singer, says he will put his money on Nasty C, the South African rapper, over any American rapper.
Nasty C, whose real name is David Junior Ngcobo, is known for his powerful rap deliveries and has established himself as a prominent name in the global music industry.
He has collaborated with several music heavyweights in the Nigerian and international music landscape.
In a recent interview, Burna Boy lauded the heroics of the 24-year-old singer and songwriter, describing him as an inspiration to many.
The ‘African Giant’ crooner also said the rapper is an example of the growing influence of Afrobeat as a music genre in the world.
He said his comment is not based on Nasty C’s African origin but on his talents and career strides as a musician.
“Yeah, everything is now Afrobeat. Nasty C is a rapper and because he is from Africa, people will now say Afrobeat. But he is a rapper. I’ll put my money on him over almost any American rapper,” the ‘Twice as Tall’ crooner bragged.
