Burna Boy, the Grammy award-winning singer, survived a car accident in the Lekki axis of Lagos state on Saturday.

The music star was journeying in his Ferrari car when the incident occurred.

A now-viral video shows the ‘Wonderful’ singer being whisked away from the scene in another vehicle.

The ‘African Giant’ crooner took to his Instagram stories to confirm the accident.

Burna Boy disclosed that he only sustained a minor injury on his leg. He also shared a video to douse fears over his safety after the incident.

He, however, lamented that people at the scene of the accident were more interested in filming him that coming to his rescue.

“Yes it’s true. I had a bad accident in my Ferrari today. My leg just hurts a little but I’m fine. Its just funny how everyone came out with phones recording me instead of trying to help (I guess they were too exited to see me regardless of the situation lol) but I love you all. Gambo got me,” he wrote.

Born Oluwadamini Ogulu, Burna Boy started to gain popularity in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

He has snagged numerous awards and recognition since then.
