Bukas & Joints, a weekly programme, which showcases African cuisine, will feature Tuface Idibia and DJ Jimmy Jatt in its latest edition.

While Tuface will be visiting the famous ‘Calabar Kitchen’ in Ikeja to experience delicious dishes from the southeastern part of the country, Jimmy Jatt will be at White House Buka, located in the heart of Yaba, Lagos.

Both celebrities will be talking about some of the best dishes that Nigeria has to offer.

The programme airs at 7pm every Sunday on AIT, channel 128 on StarTimes and on DStv channel 253.

The last five episodes have journeyed on some amazing food adventures with host, Olisa Adibua, visiting major food joints and restaurants across the cosmopolitan city of Lagos; tasting the many delightful and mouth-watering delicacies these places have to offer, from snake pepper soup to the best snacks in town.

It has featured the award-winning actress and comedian Funke Akindele, producer/musician JJC Skillz and the presenter, Ozzy Agu.

Bukas and Joints premiered March 2016 and has explored some of the city’s most popular food joints like the famous ‘Glover Court’ and University of Suya known for its richly seasoned, over the fire deeply grilled suya.

Biola Alabi, Managing Partner Biola Alabi Media and CEO of Bukas & Joints, said the show has now gone global, explaining that the programme debuted on The African Channel in the USA and Caribbean on April 24.

“BAM is very happy about this new development as this allows for a more global participation while showcasing African cuisine to the world,” she said.

Karen Juve, Bukas & Joints’ vice-president programming and acquisitions, also said: “The show is in line with our vision to showcase African culture to the world”.
