The unveiling of nominees for the 2022 edition of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards is set to hold on October 31.
Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of the annual award, announced this in a statement sent to TheCable Lifestyle on Thursday.
According to him, Moji Meranda, the chief whip of the Lagos state house of assembly, would unveil the nominees.
Oloketuyi said the choice of Ojora for the unveiling ceremony “comes natural as she fits the bill perfectly”.
“While it is an honour for us as organisers to have Hon. Moji Ojora to unveil one of the most respected awards events in the Nollywood industry, we feel it is also a way of appreciating a woman of valour, who has done so much in politics and in her own little way, contributed to the growth of the Nigerian movie industry,” he said.
Oloketuyi added that the unveiling ceremony will hold by 6 pm at Class Suite Signatures in Opebi axis of Ikeja, Lagos state.
This is the 14th edition of the award, which honour outstanding achievements in the Nigerian movie industry.
The organisers had earlier announced Francis Onwochei, the veteran actor, as the head of the jury for the edition.
The main event will be held at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Owerri, Imo state, on December 3, 2022.
“We’ve taken the 14th edition of the awards event a notch higher by ensuring that it’s at par with the best of what is obtainable in the world and it can only get better from here,” Oloketuyi added.
