Blessing Egbe, producer and director of ‘Lekki Wives’, has released the trailer for her new film, ‘The Ten Virgins’.
Inspired by the biblical parable of the same name, ‘The Ten Virgins’ tells the story of 10 young maidens who are betrothed to a great prince.
Despite various temptations that would be thrown at them, they must remain faithful and “untouched” until the groom returns from his seemingly endless journey.
A musical film with a lot of visually appealing theatrics, ‘The Ten Virgins’ depicts the “highly symbolic relationship between Christ and the church universal”.
It features a cast of mostly new but talented actors, who sing and dance rhythmically to tell a compelling narrative.
In a statement, Egbe who produced and directed the film said she highly anticipates its final release.
Egbe said she has always been motivated to tell stories that reflect the everyday lives of people and teach lessons that would make the world a better one.
