Platinum as a music certification in France is awarded to singles that have shipped, sold, or streamed up to 150,000 units or albums that have achieved 100,000 units in the same vein.

Osikoya announced CKay’s achievement in a tweet that was reposted by the singer himself.

The development comes as CKay was also reported to have pulled off similar feats for the single in the UK, Italy, and Canada.

In September 2017, he released his first extended play (EP) ‘Who the Fuck Is CKay?’ while ‘CKay the First’, his second EP, was put out in August 2019.

In February 2021, he released his third EP ‘Boyfriend’ through Warner Music South Africa.

The singer recently recalled how ‘Love Nwantiti’ was initially overlooked when he sent the song to Chocolate City.
