When Ayo Makun visited the Big Brother Naija house, he promised to work with the contestants and make opportunities available for them after the conclusion of the reality show.

At the 2017 edition of his yearly AY Live on Sunday, the comedian dedicated a segment of the show to the former reality TV stars.

Celebrities thronged the EKO Hotel and Suites venue of the Easter Sunday show but the attention of fans – and even some celebrities – was on the ex-BBNaija housemates.

To an extent, it was for them a coming-out night of sorts, into the celebrity world as bonafide stars.

At some point in the show, AY assembled them on the stage, and turn by turn, they stepped forward to serve as the objects of amusement for the audience.

While AY reminded the audience of TBoss’ infamous private jet statement, he asked that mercy be shown on Kemen despite his inappropriate fondling of the former during the competition.

The talk of a potential relationship between Efe and Marvis was, once and for all, buried.

When asked by AY if she would consider him in “another lifetime”, Marvis who says she’s in a relationship, said: “Maybe.”

After getting the audience riled up with her “Na The Work Wey We Dey do” catchphrase, Bisola was assured of a role in AY’s next movie.

Other housemates – TTT, Soma, CocoIce, Bisola, Ese and Debie-Rise – also took their turns as the butt of jokes.

Miyonce, Bally and Jon Ogah were absent. Although Uriel and Bassey were at the event, the pair were not on stage.

Jokes by some of the other performing comedians were also inspired by the housemates and the reality show.

Such was its impact on Nigerians in the last few months and on the AY Live show as well.

Solid Star, Davido, Tekno, ex-BBNaija housemates, Efe, CoCo Ice and Soma performed at the event hosted by Daddy Freeze and AY.

As always, tickets – regular, VIP and VVIP and a million naira-priced tables – were sold out.

The AY Live has become a must-attend event, especially for those in the entertainment circles.

It is a night when the stars converge to let go and have fun.

This year, they will have the reality television class of 2017 to thank for a great night.
