Bibilari Abayomi Elebuibon would have gotten an award at the just concluded 42nd convocation ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), instead, a moment of silence was held in his honour.

Elebuibon was not alive to bask in the euphoria of being the best student with overall performance in Yoruba Language.

The late son of Ifayemi Elebuibon, a popular Ifa priest, lost his life in July during an accident in Osogbo, where he lived with his family.

The school’s amphitheater on Wednesday, December 7, was cast in a somber mood when Gbemisola Adeoti, dean, faculty of arts, said: “it is a sad one, best student overall performance in Yoruba Language, Elebuibon Bibilari Abayomi is no more”.

Abiodun Olanrewaju, the school’s PRO, immediately stepped forward to crave the indulgence of everyone present in the hall to rise and pay respect to the departed soul.

It was gathered that Ifayemi Elebuibon had lost one of his sons earlier in the year before Bibilari Abayomi’s demise in July.
