Mike Edwards, a former housemate of the BBNaija reality TV show, has won his debut professional boxing match.
The reality TV star defeated John Cornish, his opponent, in the Misfits Boxing Cruiserweight division.
The boxing bout which was organised by Olajide Williams, the Nigerian-born professional boxer, was held at Dublin Arena on Saturday.
Edwards won the match through a unanimous decision from the judges.
His win was also described as “impressive” by the Misfits Boxing in a post on their social media pages.
“An impressive MFB debut for #aireyys as he gets the decision victory. Mike Edwards gets his first #MisfitsBoxing win,” the post reads.
The reality TV star, who is known as a high jump champion, announced his venture into professional boxing in April.
