BBNaija’s JMK: How fire destroyed all my properties

JMK, the former BBNaija housemate, has recounted how fire razed her Lagos apartment and destroyed all of her valuables in the process.

The reality TV star took to her Snapchat page to share photos of the damaged apartment.

According to her, the incident occurred at about 4 am on Tuesday when the fire broke out from the air conditioner in her room.

JMK disclosed that she was sleeping when the fire started. The reality star added that she later woke up to the smokes which had already taken over the room.

The law graduate said she and her friends initially attempted to put out the fire but the efforts proved abortive.

JMK, whose real name is Jumoke Zainab Adedoyin, said the conflagration damaged everything belonging to her in the apartment including her certificates.

She, however, thanked God for saving “me as well as my friends during the fire outbreak”.

“The last couple of days have been beyond devastating. I thank God for my life and the life of my friends. 4 am on the 16th of November, my Air conditioner caught fire from a surge while I was sleeping in the room,” she wrote.

“I woke up choking to the smoke, ran to my friend’s room to call her but all efforts to put out the fire were in vain.

“Before the firefighters came the room was burnt to the ground. The fire outbreak took everything that I own down to all my certificates”.

In a follow-up post, the reality TV star called out those accusing her of chasing clout over the fire incident.

“It is how insensitive some of you are, I was not going to speak on this but it’s one thing to not like someone, it’s another thing to wish bad things on them,” she added.

“Saying I’m chasing clout is very sad and annoying. I don’t even wish this on my enemies. BBNaija is just a show.”
