BBNaija: Saskay explains why she chose Jaypaul over Cross

Saskay, a female contestant of the 2021 BBNaija, has revealed why she chose Jaypaul over Cross.

The trio has been in a love triangle on the reality TV show, with Saykay mingling more romantically with Jaypaul.

In one of the latest conversations Saskay had with Cross in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ house, Saskay told Cross that she had gravitated towards Jaypaul instead of him because Jaypaul gave her more attention than he was willing to.

“The same way I felt about two or three weeks ago is the same way I’m feeling right now. The feeling didn’t grow. If I would rate your energy based on how you feel towards me, it’s like a 3/10,” Saskay told Cross.

“It’s like you’re selective of when you want to be around me. Somehow, I understand you don’t want to be that whole loverboy but you cannot blame me for feeling more for someone that’s now always around.

“I’ve spent a lot of time with him and shared a lot of my stories with him and shared a lot of his with me. You can’t blame me for feeling more towards that person because he’s always around me and you’re not.

“And I can’t push you to always be around. You said yesterday that you wanted to leave everything until we get out of the house. Cool. In doing that, you have to bear in mind that I will become closer and closer to this other person.

“I really understand where you stand. I’m not someone to play with people’s feelings that is why I’ve been sincere from the beginning. I understand that I can say one thing and something else happen. Situations change a lot.”

Cross to Saskay: You’re 21, I’m 31… I don’t want to tie you down

Speaking on any potential relationship with Cross, Saskay said: “It’s up to you to decide what you want. You said the other day that you didn’t want anything serious. Another, you say you wanted to be my main man.

“The other day, Boma said you look like someone people don’t want to date.

“I said I felt the same way and he said you don’t want anything serious. Maybe circumstances changed your stand but you need to be sure of what you want. You need to think of where I stand too while looking out for yourself.”

Cross said he had withdrawn from Saskay because he didn’t want to tie her down, considering their age difference.

“One of the reasons why I’ve never really put myself towards you is because I think you’re quite young. I think you have a world to explore. In my alternate mind, I’m trying to look out for you. Have a good time,” he replied to her.

“You want to go to LA or New York and be a model? Shoot. Do you want to go to DC and join the CIA? Shoot. I just want to support that. I’m 31. It will be selfish for me to want to tie you down.

“I’ve seen attributes in you I’ll love to have in someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. But if I push it too far, I know what it would amount to. In my subconscious, I’m like that’s not fair. The world is your oyster.

“You can do anything you want to do. You have no idea what you can do, especially now that you’ve come on Big Brother. I could have the finances and security to look after you but that doesn’t make a difference.

“I could be close friends with you or a loved one from afar. I don’t want to hold you down. That’s why I try to withdraw.”
