BBNAIJA SEASON 9 PREMIERES
The 2024 edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show is set to premiere on Sunday, July 28.
For the ninth season, the organisers disclosed that the winner will go home with a grand prize of N100 million and a brand new SUV car.
Auditions for the ninth season began on March 27 and ended on May 4.
BBNaija organisers earlier announced that this year’s season promises “double drama, relationships, and huge competition”.
“With new twists and unknown housemates ready to become your new faves, this season promises to be one for the books,” they said.
“Expect shocking twists, explosive drama, and alliances that will keep you guessing.”
SKITMAKER EMMANUELLA CLOCKS 14
Emmanuella Samuel, the Nigerian comedian, will clock 14 on Monday.
The skit maker became a media sensation after featuring in Mark Angel’s comedy series at age five.
She made her debut appearance on episode 34 of the comedy series titled ‘Who Mess?’.
ACTRESS CLARION CHUKURA MARKS 6OTH BIRTHDAY
Clarion Chukwura, the Nollywood film star, will celebrate her 60th birthday on Wednesday, July 24.
The ace actress was born in 1964 in Anambra state. She made her film debut in the 1970s.
She has acted in hundreds of movies including ‘Glamour Girls’ in 1994, ‘Efusetan Aniwura’, and ‘Money Power’.
HOUSE OF GA’A PREMIERES
‘House of Ga’a’, the epic movie directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters, the filmmaker, is set to premiere on Friday.
The movie, starring Femi Branch, Femi Adebayo, Dele Odule, and Ibrahim Chatta, will be streamed live on Netflix on July 26.
‘House of Ga’a’ follows the story of Bashorun Ga’a, a ferocious and feared prime minister who became more powerful than the kings he enthroned.
Austen-Peters said the movie centres around a collision of “betrayal, Power. and lust”.
