Fans of Ngozi ‘Erica’ Nlewedim, a former housemate at the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show, have launched a $100,000 GoFundMe campaign for her following her disqualification.

TheCable Lifestyle had reported how the 26-year-old’s stay at the ‘Lockdown’ house came to an end on Sunday after receiving her third and final strike.

This had come after the actress cum commercial model from Imo state was found guilty of violating several rules guiding the show during a heated exchange with Laycon, a fellow housemate.

But shortly after her disqualification, Erica’s fans — known as ‘Elites’ — had taken to the fundraising platform to donate towards helping her achieve “her hopes and aspirations.”

“For Erica Nlewedim, the star of BBNaija season 5, Lockdown edition whose journey on the show came to an emotional end – To realize some of her hopes and aspirations,” the post on the platform read.

The fundraising campaign, organised by Ehizode Irefo, has continued to garner positive responses from fans of the reality TV star.

As of the time of filing this report, over 163 donors have contributed $14,376 out of the targeted $100,000.

Her disqualification had come about the same time when Lucy, a former housemate, was ejected from the reality show after she got the lowest votes from viewers.

The remaining nine housemates will continue the chase for the N85 million grand prize — with barely three weeks to the finale.
