Faith Adewale has been named the interim head of house (HoH) for the ninth week of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season.

The announcement came after Sunday’s live eviction show, when Big Brother called all housemates to the arena for the head of house competition.

The challenge consisted of a three-stage task that had to be completed within a strict time limit.

Faith and Zita finished the course with the fastest times, advancing to the final round. Faith ultimately emerged as the winner, marking his third time holding the coveted HoH title this season — the most by any housemate so far.

However, due to a new twist, Faith will have to defend his position in a special HoH challenger match on Monday against five other housemates.

In other results, Rooboy was designated as the “house snail” for the week due to the slowest performance during the HoH challenge.

The BBNaija season 10 edition kicked off with a two-day opening ceremony. The female housemates were unveiled first on July 26.

The male contestants were ushered into the show on July 27, making it a total of 29 housemates.

So far, 16 housemates have been voted out of the reality show. The remaining 13 contestants will slug it out to take home a staggering N150 million — the highest grand prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.

The season is expected to wrap up on October 5.
