Maria Nkechi Benjamin, a former housemate of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season six, says she hopes White Money forgives her “abrasive” behaviour towards him.
The 29-year-old Dubai realtor, who was surprisingly evicted alongside JMK and Sammie, spoke on Tuesday during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
She also said that she feels stupid after learning that the 30-year-old entrepreneur never nominated her for evictions.
“I feel emotional, because when they actually played back the clip of people that nominated me and I realised that White never nominated me, ever, I actually feel stupid,” she said.
“I actually like what he’s about. I like the vibe I caught from him. You know we are both Igbo, I did like him and I still like him.
“[I hope we’d be friends] If he can actually ever forgive me.”
The duo initially enjoyed a cordial relationship when the show started but things changed in the third week, when Pere, the 36-year-old visual artiste, became the Head of House.
During his one week tenure, he made a decision to relieve White Money of his cooking role – a move Maria strongly supported.
Pere had described White Money’s activities in the kitchen as a strategy and “a monopoly of the kitchen,” arguing that such is “unhealthy” for the house.
