Laycon, Vee and Nengi, three housemates at the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show, have won N1 million cash prize each as well as a trip to Scotland.

This comes after the trio, christened ‘Team Gold’, emerged winners of Wednesday’s challenge sponsored by Johnny Walker, a Scotish whisky brand, named after its founder.

Their team garnered 91 points to see off competition from the other three teams during the contest.

The three winners will receive the cash prize from the brand at the end of this year’s edition of the show.

The development will come as a boost for the trio, who are among the six housemates enlisted for possible eviction ahead of Sunday’s show.

There are 11 remaining housemates jostling for the N85 million grand prize after Brighto, Wathoni and Tolanibaj became the latest to be ejected from the ‘Lockdown’ house.

This year’s BBNaija has so far lived up to expectations when it comes to controversies and the usual social media frenzy.

This is despite early fears that greeted the airing of the reality TV show as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

It has also attracted heated criticisms, with some calling on the federal government to shut down the show for promoting immorality.
