Vanguard reported the school’s rector as the official who slumped and died during an “alleged sex romp with an unidentified female teenager”.

The incident was reported to have taken place in the rector’s hotel room in Zekoh Place, Onoharigho street, Ughelli.

He was subsequently rushed to a private clinic, a few kilometers from the hotel, but was said to have been confirmed dead on arrival.

“He had gone to the hotel in company of a female teenager and booked a room for an hour of love session with the girl,” a source was quoted to have said.

“The girl raised an alarm when the chief slumped but absconded following reports that the victim was confirmed dead.

“Though no arrest has been made in connection with the incident, a female manager of the hotel was arrested for questioning but has since been released.”

A family member was reported to have said: “We are having a meeting with elders of the family if an autopsy would be conducted after which we would take a stand on the matter.”

Punch subsequently reported that Udele Emuhohwo, a lecturer in polytechnic, slumped and died in the hotel, not Seiyaboh Idah, the rector of the institution.

“I was highly embarrassed by the report. The school, the students, my family including my parents, were all embarrassed and assaulted by the falsehood.

“My friends all over the country and the world have been calling me over this incident to confirm whether l was still alive. You can see that l am alive and kicking,” Idah was quoted to have said.
