Bright Okpocha, Nigerian stand-up comedian better known as Basketmouth, has partnered with Filmone, a movie production company, to produce his first feature film.

The 42-year-old comedian took to his Instagram page on Thursday to break the news.

According to him, the film titled ‘Scorpio’ will be released in November 2021.

He also said that the movie will be shot later this year in three countries while the crew and lead cast will be announced soon.

“So I will be bringing a unique perspective to Nigerian Film Industry in 2021. I’ve partnered with Filmone to make my 1st ever movie ‘Scorpio’,” he wrote.

“Shooting starts late 2020 and is set in 3 countries. Lead cast and crew will be announced soon. Stay tuned guys…history is about to be made.”

In 2019, the comedian announced plans to put out ‘The Exorcism of Alu‘, which would have been his first movie, but it was never released.

At that time, Basketmouth revealed that he had been working on the movie for six years while describing it as his “most challenging project”.
