Basketmouth, Nigerian comedian, has taken to social media to celebrate Elsie, his wife, on the occasion of their 11th wedding anniversary.
The pair took to their individual Instagram handles to celebrate themselves with lovely notes on Saturday.
In his post, Basketmouth appreciated Elsie for choosing him eleven years ago.
The comedian, born Bright Okpocha, also disclosed that his wife gave him a “fake phone number” when they first met.
“After you gave me a fake phone number the 1st day I met you, no be 11yrs we don marry so? [This life sha, shakara] no good sometimes,” he wrote in a mixture of English and Pidgin.
“Happy anniversary to you Elsie Okpocha, thanks for choosing me, thanks for saying yes, thanks for giving me a beautiful home and thank you for being my wife. Love you forever.”
On her part, Elsie wrote: “Forever and for always is what we will always be…. I love you till eternity baby. Happy 11th anniversary to us.”
The lovebirds tied the knot in 2010. The union has so far been blessed with three children.
Elsie had earlier recounted the complications she endured during the birth of Maya Chiagoziem Okpocha, their third child
“…on the day I put to birth, I was rejected by two hospitals (I had registered in one of them) even though labor had started and my contractions were happening every two minutes, their reason was that I hadn’t done my antenatal with them so they didn’t want to take me in case there was an emergency,” she had written.
