Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, has lavished Michelle, his wife, with encomium on her 61st birthday.
In a post via X on Friday, Obama, 63, shared a photo of them holding hands across a table while describing her as “the love of my life” who exudes “warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace”.
He expressed gratitude for their shared journey and emphasised how lucky he felt to go through the journey with her.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it,” the post reads.
“I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”

Michelle and Barack got married on October 3, 1992, in Chicago. The union has been blessed with two children — Malia and Sasha.
In 2020, Michelle recalled the “tough times” she once faced in her marriage to Obama. She said they had to undergo counseling after the birth of their daughters.
“We went through a tough time, we did some hard things together,” she had said.
“But now we’re out on the other end and I can look at him and I still recognise my husband. He’s still the man I fell in love with.”
