The family of late comedian, dramatist and actor Baba Sala has announced the dates for his funeral.
Emmanuel Adejumo, his son, said the veteran comedian will be buried December 6 and 7.
Adejumo, popularly called ‘Boisala’, is a performing officer at the National Troupe of Nigeria. He told NAN that the family agreed on the dates.
Baba Sala, real name Michael Olaiya Adejumo, died on October 7 in Ilesa, Osun state.
His body has since been deposited at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Annex, (Wesley Guild Hospital) in Ilesa.
Following the entertainer’s death, his son said: “My dad was strong till he died. He died of old age and nothing was wrong with him health-wise.
“My dad is well known in the movie industry and I urge actors to learn from his achievements in the industry as a comedian.
“Actors should also be careful of piracy because it is an evil menace that is stunting the growth of the industry.”
Adejumo said Baba Sala died in his house after having his supper.
“My dad passed on out of old age and not sickness. He was a very active person, someone who loved his job so much and knew what he wanted.
“He has finally gone to rest with the Lord and I pray that he should rest in peace,” he said.
Baba Sala was a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
