Asake, the Nigerian singer, has sparked criticism after breaking a fan’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in Paris.
The incident occurred outside a nightclub where Asake had performed amid his ongoing Lungu Boy tour.
A viral video shows the fan approaching Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, for a photo. However, the Afrobeats star suddenly grabbed and smashed the phone on the ground.

The fan took to his TikTok page to express his feelings, showcasing remarkable loyalty to Asake despite the significant damage to his phone.
“@asakemusic You broke my iPhone 16 pro Max. It’s not because they pissed off inside the nightclub that you are going to react like that towards a fan. Anyway, I still love you,” he wrote.
Although Asake has not publicly responded to the incident, several social media users have condemned the singer’s behavior, questioning his treatment of fans. Others also demanded that he should pay for the phone repair.
“Asake get luck iPhone 16 pro max E must pay me my money or I call police straight,” a user wrote.

No hate, no shade, but if the person trying to take a picture with Asake was a white guy, do you think Asake would still have thrown the phone?

Asake broke an innocent fan’s iphone 16 and nobody is saying anything about it
But when Rema was preventing a fan from lifting him during his Benin concert you people tagged it as being arrogant
You people are never beating the tribalistic allegations.
