Ariana Grande, the US singer, and Dalton Gomez, her husband, have finalised divorce after nearly three years of marriage.
Grande filed for divorce in 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
According to the Associated Press, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the divorce on Tuesday.
Grande, 30, and Gomez, 28, who had separated earlier in 2023, had a prenuptial agreement and welcomed no children together. This, with the lack of major legal disputes, allowed for a swift resolution.
The terms of the settlement, agreed upon in October, included a one-time payment of $1.25 million from Grande to Gomez, with no future alimony.
The pop star, who has an estimated net worth of $240 million, will also receive half the proceeds from the eventual sale of their Los Angeles home and contribute up to $25,000 towards Gomez’s attorney fees.
The couple began dating in January 2020 and quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They appeared together in the video for the Justin Bieber charity single ‘Stuck With U’ in May of that year.
By December, they were engaged and got married in May 2021.
The music star recently released her seventh studio album titled ‘Eternal Sunshine’.
She will be playing the good witch Glinda alongside Cynthia Erivo in the two-part film adaptation of the stage musical ‘Wicked’, which is scheduled for release in November.
