Angela Okorie, a Nigerian actress and media personality, has announced her engagement to her lover whose name is yet to be revealed.
Chita Agwu Johnson, her fellow actress, took to her social media page on Saturday to break the news.
“Awwwww love is a beautiful thing. Me I can’t keep quiet. Congratulations sister @realangelaokorie. I got your back
Am so happy for you,” she wrote on Instagram.
Okorie has a son from her previous marriage.
The mother of one made the headlines in December last year after she was attacked by assassins, who reportedly left ten bullets in her head in the process.
She had in February — weeks after the attack — narrated how she had been enduring hard times due to sickness and other challenges.
“I can’t just imagine what I have gone through. It’s has been pains upon pains for me, but God keeps protecting me,” she had said.
The actress rode to the spotlight in 2009 after featuring on ‘Holy Serpent’, a Nollywood hit movie.
She has since starred in several blockbuster movies including ‘Heart of a Widow’ and ‘Secret Code.’
She has also snagged several awards for her impressive stints in the movie industry. The movie star won the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category at the 2015 edition of the City People Entertainment Awards.
