Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transportation, has described Burna Boy as his favourite artiste.
In a recent interview with Arise TV, Amaechi said although he listens to songs from Davido and Wizkid, Burna Boy is his favourite due to his unique music style.
He also revealed that his current favourite song is ‘Agba Baller’ by Flavour.
“In terms of music, I follow all of them. I follow Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage but I am a greater fan of Burna Boy because of the kind of music he plays. And I listen to all of them,” he said.
“But my greatest music now is Flavour’s Agba Baller”.
Amaechi was the speaker of the Rivers state house of assembly from 1999 to 2007.
He thereafter served as governor of Rivers state from 2007 to 2015.
He was also the federal minister of transportation of Nigeria from 2015 to 2022 under the cabinet of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Amaechi resigned his role to contest for Nigeria’s presidency under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
He came second in the APC presidential primaries held in June 2022 while President Bola Tinubu won with 316 votes from the delegates.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, gained fame in 2013 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’.
In 2021, the singer set a record in Nigeria after his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’ won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammys.
