Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has vowed to sue Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer, for exposing Liam to violence, if a paternity test confirms he is his grandchild.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. On September 21, 2023, his body was exhumed by police for an autopsy.
Aloba had maintained that the singer would not be reburied until a DNA test was conducted to confirm the paternity of Liam.
However, Abosede, the mother of Mohbad, alleged that Aloba “is delaying the DNA test”.
In an interview on Agbaletu TV, Joseph Aloba alleged that Omowunmi took Liam to a show when he was just five months old.
He questioned why she would expose the child to cigarette smoke and violence, vowing to take legal action against her if a paternity test confirmed Liam is his grandchild.
“If Liam turns out to be my grandchild, I will sue Wunmi for taking a 5 months old baby to a show where several people smokes and violence could occur at any time,” he said.
“Recently, I saw that they took him to Ibadan too. If he is my grandson I will sue her.”
Omowunmi recently disclosed that she agreed to a DNA test to dispel media falsehoods, not to prove anything to Aloba.
