Afe Babalola University on Sunday, released the list of prohibited items for the new academic session.
Christie Oluborode, registrar of the institution, informed undergraduates that henceforth, they won’t be permitted to use mobile phones which have additional features.
According to the memo, students can only make calls and receive texts while internet usage will be restricted to laptops and computers as tablets and iPads are also prohibited.
The list of the other prohibited items include:

Blenders
Electric Blankets, Mattresses or Beds
Electric Boiling Ring
Electric Kettle
Hair dryers
Microwaves/Rice Cooker/Hot Plates
Photocopying machines
Refrigerators
Toasters/Sandwich Maker/Grillers
Television sets/Video Machine/Computer Games.
Musical gadgets (Home Theatre, Public Address System, Amplifier, etc).
FOOD, DRINKS AND COOKING ITEMS
Alcoholic drinks
Noodles
Raw food items
Cooking utensils
PROHIBITED DRUGS
All Illicit Drugs
Cigarettes
WEAPONS OF ANY TYPE
Knives
Forks
Dagger
Cutlass
Firearms of any kind.
OTHERS
Binoculars
Fireworks
Siren
Lethal weapons & injections
Hubley Bubley
Kerosene Lamps
Candles, Matches & Gas Lighter
Face masks and all forms of camouflages are strictly prohibited in the University.
