Airtel Nigeria has announced the third season of ‘Touching Lives’, its community service intervention following the success of first and second editions.
The life-changing initiative was announced at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday.
Segun Ogunsaya, Airtel’s MC/CEO, said the company has been able to offer practical relief, succour, hope, opportunities and credible platforms to less privileged and have been able to empower those disadvantaged in the society.
“At Airtel, we believe that to be a great company we must first be a good company, and we are very much committed to earning our social license – the love and acceptance of the various communities and people we serve”, he said.
Touching Lives is a programme set up to assist less privileged people in the country, a programme that has given voice to the voiceless, supporting the down-trodden and has served as hope for needy Nigerians.
Airtel has through the programme, been able to touch lives by providing potable water for several starved communities, built maternal and health centres for remote communities, built and renovated schools to provide quality education to the less privileged.
Larry Izamoje, doctor and CEO of Brila FM said ‘Touching Lives’ initiative has grown to become one of the platforms for helping the disadvantaged hence pledged his support to propagate the essence of the programme on Brilla FM.
