The institution broke the news in a short statement released via its website on Thursday.

“The University wishes to inform all prospective candidates of the 2020/2021 Post-UTME Screening exercise earlier slated for Monday, November 30 to Saturday, December 12, 2020, that the screening has been postponed,” it said.

“New dates will be communicated as soon as possible. Any inconvenience occasioned by this postponement is highly regretted.”

The post-UTME was initially scheduled to hold between November 18 and December 3, before it was later fixed for November 30 to December 12, 2020.

TheCable had earlier reported how President Muhammadu Buhari approved the reinstatement of Oluwatoyin Ogundipe as the vice-chancellor of the institution.

Buhari also dissolved the varsity’s governing council, formerly chaired by Wale Babalakin, its former pro-chancellor.

This had come on the back of the crisis that rocked the institution after Ogundipe was removed by the governing council on August 12 during a meeting presided over by Babalakin.

“The Vice-Chancellor was not granted an opportunity to defend himself on the allegations upon which his removal was based. He should accordingly be re-instated,” the president was quoted as saying.
