Emeka Ani, the ace Nollywood actor, is yet again soliciting monetary aid for a health emergency.
The ailing movie star, in a video explaining his plight, spoke of a condition that has affected his left eye.
Ani got N6 million from Jeremiah Fufeyin, the clergyman, to undergo surgery in November 2021 for a different ailment.
But in a fresh appeal posted via the social media handle of his industry colleague on Sunday, he called on the public to help him.
The actor said he was diagnosed with glaucoma which increases pressure in the eyeball, causing gradual sight loss.
“[There is a] growth around my eyes if you look at it very well. You’ll see the growth coming to the black spot. If care is not properly taken, it might result in blindness,” Ani said.
“So I want to plead with you once again my brothers and sisters to kindly help me so I can be taken abroad for proper medication and surgery.
“I have gone to so many hospitals here in Nigeria but to no avail. Please kindly help me so I can make use of my sight once again.”
Ani is believed to have first sought financial support in February 2020 after undergoing his first surgery.
In October 2022, Yul Edochie, the actor, shared another video of the actor soliciting funds.
In the video, Emeka revealed that he was diabetic. He also said he had been sick since December 2020.
He added that he had undergone a surgical procedure but could not heal because of diabetes.
At the time, he added that he suffered a partial stroke during the surgery.
