After four years of holding at Freedom Park, Lagos Island, monthly live music concert, Afropolitan Vibes, is relocating to Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Afropolitan Vibes is a platform for alternative music; where live music lovers gather to enjoy contemporary singer-songwriters and musicians perform genres like Afrobeat, Afro-funk, Afro hip-hop, Afro-pop and Highlife music.
Musician, Ade Bantu, who is one of the organisers of Afropolitan Vibes, also announced that the gate fee has been jacked up from N500 to N1000.
In a video statement, he said: “As part of our plans to improve the overall experience of our shows, include third party partners without restrictions, and give you great value for money, Afropolitan Vibes will be moving to the beautiful and serene environment of Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island.”
“We are extremely excited to welcome you to the space which will include a bar area, food vendors and a special dedicated picnic space where friends and lovers can relax.
“You will be very pleased to know that the gate entry fee will now be N1,000.”
The first Afropolitan Vibes concert in Muri Okunola Park will take place on Friday, June 16.
Over 50 editions of Afropolitan Vibes have been held at Freedom Park – where more than 160 guest artistes have performed.
The concert which takes place once a month is co-produced by Ade Bantu and Abby Ogunsanya.
