In a bid to spotlight talented fashion designers, the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria is set to host series of catwalk shows.

The catwalk shows, a pre-event activity of the AFW, will take place from April 1-2 at the National Theatre, Iganmu and Tinubu Square, Lagos.

The event will provide a unique opportunity to gain insights, appreciate the beauty, versatility of the Nigerian fabrics and fashion.

Ronke Ademiluyi, founder of the Africa Fashion Week London/Nigeria said she is delighted to partner with the Lagos state government to use some of the historical locations for the show.

The idea behind the catwalk shows is to provide a unique platform for the media to interact with the designers.

Africa Fashion Week, which is based in London and Nigeria, is designed to create an enabling platform across the globe where creative African designers and fashion entrepreneurs can showcase the beauty and creativity of Africa through their designs and costumes.
