Adele, the Grammy-winning British singer, has opened up about her battles with her gender and sexuality.

The ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ hitmaker singer shared her thoughts on her sexuality while addressing fans who attended her sold-out concert in Munich, Germany.

While on stage after her performance, Adele who is known to be straight and was formerly married to Simon Konecki, said she often feels like a “gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body”.

“I often think I am a gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body,” she said.

Her comment sparked a wave of mixed reactions on social media with many fans questioning if she was trying to openly admit to being gay.

Others argued that they were not shocked because the singer is known to be an avid supporter of the LGBTQ community.

Adele is considered one of the greatest British singers of all time. She is the best-selling female artiste of the 21st century in the UK.

She has earned a plethora of nominations and awards for her craft which include 16 Grammys, 12 Brit Awards, an Oscars, a Primetime Emmy, and even a Gold Globe.

The 36-year-old has also put four studio albums ’19′(2008), ’21′(2011), ’25′(2015) and ’30′(2021).
